As you may or may not know there are typically two different forms of treatment when it comes to fighting addiction. Like most facilities, we here at the Galt Ocean Rehab offer both inpatient drug treatment as well as outpatient drug treatment. Most people are familiar with the first of the two, but many people get confused about outpatient drug treatment. Don’t worry though! We are going to explain what it is and why it can be beneficial to you (or why it may not be).
The Main Difference
The main difference in the two is self-explanatory. If you are undergoing outpatient drug treatment then you are coming to the facility during scheduled times on specific days but you get to leave afterward. With inpatient drug treatment, you live at the facility 24 hours a day. Does that mean that outpatient drug treatment is any less beneficial than inpatient drug treatment? Absolutely not!
Why Outpatient Drug Treatment Works
For some individuals, outpatient drug treatment works much better and here is why. The ability to leave every night instead of staying at the facility motivates some to do better than they would if they had to stay at the facility. Some individuals are considered high risk and have no choice other than to receive inpatient drug treatment while others can choose between the two. Either way, outpatient drug treatment is no less effective than inpatient drug treatment in terms of sobriety.
Ask Questions
We understand your concern about outpatient drug treatment, but we have an amazing team here at the Galt Ocean Rehab. With that being said, we invite you to ask any questions that you may have. It’s okay to express concerns as well. Someone will be more than happy to talk to you about this and help put your mind at ease. There’s no question that cannot be answered or concern that cannot be addressed. So, if you’re ready to take the next step, don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you!
All that you have to do is reach out and get started. It very well could end up being the best decision that you have ever made in your life. Thousands upon thousands of other lives have been changed because they took the first step and we would be thrilled if you would become one of those people. We believe in you and know with the proper guidance, you can turn overcoming an addiction into an accomplishment whether it’s inpatient or outpatient. The end result will be the same, which is long-term success, sobriety, and the ability to live life without regrets.
