The complimentary consultation for a new client will include a VISIA Skincare Analysis. VISIA is a technology that will collect images of the client’s facial skin. It can use several types of light to “see” beneath the topmost layers and look for eight possible problems including wrinkles and different types of discolorations. VISIA can also compare the condition of the client’s skin to that of other people their age. The aesthetician will use the results to recommend a treatment plan.
What Is A Facial?
A facial is a multi-step cosmetic treatment that can make the client look younger and even healthier. The different steps and serums used will depend on what the client’s skin is like. For example, the aesthetician may use a clay mask on a client with oily skin to absorb oils. Conversely, if the client has dry skin, the aesthetician will apply a mask that helps hydrate skin.
A facial will typically include cleansing, exfoliation, and extraction of blackheads. Towards the end the aesthetician will apply a mask. A facial usually takes about an hour.
What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic treatment done to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair (“peach fuzz”). It can be done on its own or in conjunction with another treatment.
